As me & my partner have previously enjoyed staying in contemporary villas/apartments, we decided to stay at Athena during our trip to Mauritius. Breakfast was lovely every morning.The exclusive feel and open space really made it amazing.

It looks as a apartment villa, but it is fully acceptable. The security is brilliant & their service also extends to the disposal of unwanted lizards (for those of you who have partners hiding behind YOU!) Each villa has a garden with a private pool and a terrace with barbecue facilities. The layout is very nice, the outside area by the pool, the open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. We hired a car during our stay hence everything seemed nearby & we would recommend doing this unless you plan on staying in the villa. and our representative Wendina was absolutely brilliant and her service was extremely professional. The beach of Trou aux Biches has a gentle slope, and is consequently particularly suitable for children and non-swimmers as well. It owes its popularity with discerning regular visitors mainly owing to its safe bathing for children, perfect conditions for snorkelling (either in its lagoon or along its reefs), and its fine silver sand.

We really would come back, probably with friends. We were also allocated "private beach space" exclusive to Athena Villa Residents however the beach isn't on your doorstep so be prepared to travel! The other bedrooms also have a shower and are very comfortable and well equipped.

The free shuttle service to the private beach (lovely setup) was very helpful, it goes back and forth more than once a day.Good, clean and comfortable type of living. It is not a fully separate villa, but it is quite good.
