Thor was once in a church and did not like it because Christians take offense at the idea of more than one god. He is the creator of the dimension known as Heaven and the father of the beings called Angels. Yahweh is one of the numerous Skyfathers of Earth's pantheons, being the Cosmic figurehead of the three Abrahamic religion.
Since there is no evidence that Yahweh is a multiversal being I say this should be relabeled as Yahweh (Earth-616). Saints equal immortalized humans from other pantheons.
While never seen, he was invoked a few times, including when Emil Blonsky invoked his name before transforming into the Abomination for the first time. Another story featured a being called Uriel, but Uriel had no known connection to the One Above All. Did Yahweh actually appear in Thor 300, or is it just assumed that he was in the council? The other "YHWH" is a form of writing without vowels because Hebrew has no volwes. Other stories have indicated One-Above-All is a stand in for the writers, Jack Kirby, or something else all together. Everyone trips over themselves to define these characters without doing any research. Nothing Zadikel did with Yahweh's power was beyond that of a skyfather or on par with an abstract. It isn't like I'm demanding anything to be set in stone, just a neutral compromise stating that Yahweh might or might not be the OAA's avatar. And Gillen went neutral on it because so many stories have retconned Mephisto, Satan, and other hell-lords. One can easily argue that while the other gods decided to let worship of them die off like the Olympians Yahweh decided to try and let it grow. In addition, I recall Odin sending off a soul to the afterlife (either Thunderstrike or during Dan Jurgens Thor run), and saying that it would be with one far higher than himself. Try not to dwell on these things all the time...because only Marvel knows for sure. I think that would lead to confusion as well.
Aside from "God" this character is best known among popular culture as "Yahweh" so for ease of people finding out the page about this character I think it is best to leave the name as it is.--Found back the reference I had found for him being also named YHWH. Yahweh is rarely referred to that in popular culture. Yahweh had a lot of trouble validating his universe to the committee. Basically, there have been enough ambiguity on the issue to warrant a mention of the sometimes heavily implied possibility. I would say this page needs to be separate. The name "Yahweh" is more frequently used.--Nurdboy42 07:09, July 15, 2016 (UTC) Mephisto's comments are too vague. He is not worshipped on any other worlds or shown to focus on any other planets. If Yahweh is not the same as One-Above-All, then that means that the Abrahamic God is not the true Supreme Being in the Marvel Multiverse correct? I was sure it was in the Marvel Zombies Handbook (who is more about demons and angels than zombies). In addition, during the FF's visit to the afterlife they very much came in contact with something resembling the Christian version of Heaven, and although "God" manifested in the form of Jack Kirby, it seemed to just be for symbolic convenience, as the rest of the experience was decidedly Christian. In recent years Marvel has done a little, but nothing that really sets monotheism apart. Still in the Zombies Handbook:
"Allegedly, Yahweh has some skills in computers, as he stated he was still trying to learn his project management software.Fandom may earn an affiliate commission on sales made from links on this page.Fandom may earn an affiliate commission on sales made from links on this page.Take your favorite fandoms with you and never miss a beat. And since administration decided to make the pages separate and label Yahweh as only 616 and removed any claim that the two were the same then the claim that Yahweh is as powerful as OAA has no place in this article. There is nothing to indicate Yahweh is the same as the One-Above-All. --During "One More Day", shortly after the OAA manifested for Peter Parker, Mephisto stated that the one he hates had blessed and loved Parker's marriage. Yahweh (Ultimate Marvel) He is not known by that name. Category:Yahweh Family | Marvel Database | … "God" doesn't work either because that makes people think of the supreme being of the universe and there is no evidence that Yahweh is the supreme being of the Marvel Universe. What about the one time the OAA manifested just before "One More Day" and Mephisto's comment in conjunction? It is about picking a personally preferred side and censoring the rest.
