I think I had to hit the Radiance with anywhere between 15-20 times with the spell before she died so it was much easier than if I had used nail arts.I will say that the fight did take me about 2-3hrs until I figured it out. Some mix of unbreakable strength, unbreakable heart, sharp shadow (useful for dodging his attacks) soul eater or catcher, longnail or mark of pride, quick focus, quick slash (not so useful against radiance, but good for getting through the Hollow Knight fight faster).
